Singapore Airlines flies to 65 international destinations in 35 countries on six continents (as of December 2013) from its primary hub in Singapore.
Singapore Airlines used to operate the two longest flights in the world, one to Los Angeles and the other to Newark, both using the Airbus A340-500 aircraft. All A340-500 were phased out in 2013 and direct flights to both destinations have been terminated. Nonstop service to Los Angeles was terminated on 20 October 2013 (the airline continues to serve Los Angeles from Singapore via Tokyo-Narita) and nonstop service to Newark was terminated on 23 November 2013.
